TEMPE LITTLE THEATRE
Presents
A Melodrama
Love Rides the Rails (or Will the Mail Train Run On Time Tonight?)
Written by Morland Cary

Directed by Susan Ranahan

A melodrama is a sentimental drama with an improbable plot where the pure-of-heart hero and the innocent heroine suffer for their virtues at the hands of the heinous villain. Our 1890ís style melodrama will include; a honky tonk piano player, olioís (similar in style to vaudeville acts), sing-a-longs, and a chance to CHEER the Hero, SIGH for the Heroine, BOO! HISS! and throw popcorn at the Villain.

Love Rides The Rails is the simple story of a poor widow about to lose her home, a gentle man on the verge of losing his job and the respect of his peers, an innocent girl forced to marry a most dastardly villain--unless the mail train runs on time!! It's a delightful historic, holiday treat for the entire family thatís full of surprises and lots of laughs.

December 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 at 8pm; December 9 & 16 at 2pm.

Ticket prices $12 adults, $10 seniors and students.
