Desert Foothills Theater presents BUZZARD BALL, a world premiere comedy written by Alexx Stuart and directed by Todd G. Ortone which runs weekends from January 15-February 1, 2004.
Buzzard Ball is a screwball comedy about a group of retired guys from different backgrounds who get together to play in an Arizona Senior Men's Softball League. A parallel story line finds their wives, who are equally as humorous in their own right, rooting for them in varying degrees. The Vultures are a bad team, failing to win one game in their three years of existence. However, when a stranger joins the team, their fortunes begin to change, on and off the field. Buzzard Ball is a rambunctious and entertaining comedy certain to be a homer for anyone who has watched or played in a baseball game.
