One of the greatest loves stories springs to life in the explosive and unforgettable West Side Story. Based on the ever-popular classic, Shakespeareâs Romeo and Juliet, this show plays October 2 - November 8, 2003 at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre.
Featuring an electrifying score and brilliant dancing, this contemporary adaptation is set in the slums of Manhattanâs West Side, where a fierce feud has developed between two youthful gangs, the Sharks and the Jets. In the midst of the rivalry, the American-born Tony and the Puerto Rican Maria fall in love. They struggle to keep their romance alive amid the hatred and mistrust that surrounds them as the gangs vie for territory and power. The final resolution happens only when tragedy finally brings the two gangs together.
